Jalen Hurts has become a household name in the NFL world. Selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round of the 2020 draft, the quarterback has become a force to be reckoned with in his three seasons in the league.

He is one of a handful of NFL stars who have played for multiple football programs in their college careers. The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback had the rare opportunity to play for two of the most successful college football programs in the country.

Hurts embarked on his college football journey with the University of Alabama in 2016, remaining there until 2018. The quarterback then transferred to the University of Oklahoma to play his senior year in college football in 2019.

Jalen Hurts started his college football career with the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2016. He initially served as a backup to Blake Barnett, but after Barnett was injured in the season opener, Hurts was named the starter for the remainder of the season.

Despite losing to the Clemson Tigers in the national championship game during his freshman year, he managed to lead Alabama there and had a remarkable season. He threw for 2,780 yards and 23 touchdowns. He also rushed for 954 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Jalen Hurts continued to be the starting quarterback for the Crimson Tide in 2017, leading the team to another national championship game. This time, however, he was replaced by Tua Tagovailoa in the second half, and Alabama went on to win the game.

Despite being benched in the championship game, Hurts had another solid season, throwing for over 2,000 yards and 17 touchdowns while rushing for 855 yards and eight touchdowns. However, his starting role was in danger after Tagavailoa's performance.

He eventually became a backup to Tagovailoa in the 2018 season but gained significant game time on rotation. He made his mark that season after Tagovailoa was injured in the SEC Championship game. Hurts came in and led Alabama to victory.

Jalen Hurts transferred to the University of Oklahoma for his senior year to play for the Sooners. He had an impressive season, with over 3,851 passing yards and 32 touchdowns, as well as more than 1,200 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns.

He led Oklahoma to the Big 12 championship game and a spot in the College Football Playoff, but the team ultimately lost in the semifinals to the LSU Tigers. Hurts finished in second place to Joe Burrow in the Heisman Trophy voting.

Jalen Hurts' college career was an eventful one. The quarterback threw for 9,477 yards and 80 touchdowns in the 56 games he played in college football. He also rushed for 3,274 yards and 20 touchdowns in 614 rushing attempts. His college career evidently prepared him for the much more competitive professional stage.
