New England Patriots Retired Numbers #2 - Gino Cappelletti
Gino Cappelletti played 11 seasons with the Patriots and won the MVP in 1964 as a kicker and wide receiver. Cappelletti was an all-around athlete, playing special teams, offense, defense, and even quarterback on a few plays. He retired in 1971 as the AFL's all-time leading scorer with 1,130 points. His franchise single-season scoring record held up until 2005 with kicker Adam Vinatieri. Although he was never added to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the Patriots retired #20 in his honor.

#3 - Jim Lee Hunt
Jim Lee Hunt is the third player from the 1960s Patriots to have his number retired. He played defensive tackle and defensive end, playing 11 seasons and is the AFL record-holder for most career fumble recoveries (8). #79 was retired in his name.
