The Las Vegas Raiders have been seeking a winning season for a long time now since the ownership of Mark Davis in 2011. The Raiders will be hoping to clinch a playoff spot in the upcoming season. The Raiders have only two playoff appearances since 2002 when they made it to the NFL Super Bowl.

With a total of 12 picks in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders are tied with the Houston Texans for the most number of picks.
Seven of their twelve selections are their own. The Raiders did a fantastic job of keeping their top picks, as they still hold each of them in the first four rounds. They acquired a third-round pick in the Darren Waller deal that was originally part of the JC-2A settlement from Kansas City. Kadarius Toney was acquired in exchange for that pick, and the Giants used Toney to become Waller.
In the trade for wide receiver Bryan Edwards, the Raiders received the fifth-round pick of the Atlanta Falcons. In exchange for that fifth-round pick, Las Vegas traded Edwards and their seventh-round pick to Atlanta. In the meanwhile, the Raiders acquired the sixth-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for sending DT Johnathan Hankins and a pick in the 2024 seventh round to Dallas.
