The Pro Football Hall of Fame finalists for 2023 were released earlier this week. A total of 15 modern-day finalists (players and coaches) were announced. However, some football fans are interested in learning how many of the 15 will eventually make it to the Hall after voting.
Although there is no set number of new enshrines, the committee can decide between four and eight members being inducted each year. However, there is an eligibility criteria for a candidate to be nominated into the Hall of Fame.
The basic restriction is that a player or coach must have last played or coached for at least five seasons before being considered. Moreover, each candidate is thoroughly reviewed and should receive approval from at least 80% of the full 49-member Selection Committee to be elected.
