The tall and strong wide receiver out of TCU is turning heads around the NFL. Many teams are interested in his abilities and may consider drafting him in a few days. Quentin Johnston, who was born in Temple, Texas, has made a name for himself first at Temple High School and later at TCU as an explosive wide receiver.
Quentin possesses many qualities that a good wide receiver should. He can beat a defender on the run and then lose him completely with his speed. Balls thrown to him over head height are not much of a problem due to his 6-foot 4-inch frame and ability to jump high. Although his production still needs improvement, he can be a great addition to the league.
An area of his game that needs more work is his route running and limited route tree. In the NFL, he will need to expand his routes to include more slants and mix up his game. There could be many teams looking to add to their receiver's depth and selecting Quentin Johnston early on could be a real possibility.
Quentin Johnston’s NIL deal
In 2022, NIL deals for college athletes came into play for the full season. Many athletes have benefited from this new initiative where they are able to cash in on their Name, Image and Likeness. Quentin Johnston, being a top receiver for TCU since his Freshman year is no exception to this.
In spite of many offers coming his way from other schools willing to get him better NIL deals, Johnston remained unnerved and ended up staying at TCU for his Junior year.
At TCU, Johnstone reportedly had dealt with Think NIL and The Flying T Club. Think NIL has paused their campaign since January 2023, however, Quentin does continue to benefit from The Flying T Club.
Quentin Johnston’s Net Worth
As one of the top receivers in college football, Quentin Johnston is highly recognized. His deals with NIL have helped him increase his net worth. Currently, the valuation stands at $563K which is quite decent at this stage. Going forward, his net worth is about to make a significant hike as he waits for his name to be called in the upcoming NFL draft.
