Tony Romo made his mark on the football field several years ago and is now in the CBS broadcast booth alongside Jim Nantz. In a recent commercial for Skechers, the former quarterback's wife Candice Crawford appeared alongside him.

The two met in 2009 when Candice was a junior at the University of Missouri and was interning as a sports broadcaster in her hometown of Dallas at the TV station KDAF.

Crawford won the 2008 Miss Missouri USA and also spent time as a sports broadcaster at CW33 TV Dallas, covering high school sports as well as the Dallas Cowboys' special edition show each weekend.

She and her family are big Dallas Cowboys fans and were excited when she began dating the NFL quarterback. They dated for two years, got engaged in 2010 and married in 2011 at a big ceremony at Arlington Hall in Dallas, Texas.

Candice and Tony have three sons together: 10-year-old Hawkins, eight-year-old Rivers and five-year-old Jones.

How lond did Tony Romo play in the NFL?

Tony Romo played college football at Eastern Illinois University. He went undrafted in 2003 but was signed by the Dallas Cowboys as a free agent after then assistant coach Sean Payton was impressed with him.

He spent his first few seasons as the backup quarterback and became the starter in 2006 when Drew Bledsoe was sidelined. He remained the starting quarterback for the Cowboys for 11 seasons, throwing for 34,183 yards and 248 touchdowns.

Romo was unable to play the entire 2016 NFL season because of a compound fracture in his vertebrae. However, he made an appearance in the final game of the 2016 NFL season and threw a touchdown pass to Terrence Williams. That would be the final play and touchdown pass of his career as he then announced his retirement from the NFL a few months later.

Tony Romo has since been in the broadcast booth with CBS Sports as the lead color analyst with Jim Nantz, a job that former NFL quarterback Phil Simms held before moving to studio coverage. He is one of the highest-paid broadcasters on television, making $17 million a year under his current contract.
