The Cincinnati Bengals will play their second preseason game of the year on the road against the Chicago Bears on Saturday, Aug. 17, at 1 p.m. ET. NFL Network will broadcast the Week 2 preseason game nationwide, making it available to anyone with access to the channel.
The Bengals website states that the game will also be accessible to watch on the Bengals Preseason TV Network, which is headed by Cincinnati's flagship WXIX-TV (FOX 19). WFLD (FOX 32) will carry the game for people in and around the Chicago area.
The last preseason matchup between these two teams occurred in 2018. The Bengals defeated Chicago 30-27 at home in the game.
The Bengals' most recent game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ended in a 17-14 loss, but they won't be too bothered because wins and losses aren't that important in preseason. The Bears have already participated in two preseason games, both of which they have won.

Will the Bengals use their starters against the Bears?
The Bengals normally rest their starters during the preseason, but they played most of them through a series in their opening game against the Buccaneers last weekend. Fans shouldn't expect to see well-known players like Joe Burrow, Tee Higgins and Cam Taylor-Britt on the field this week, though, as that doesn't appear to be the plan.
The Bengals will give their backups an opportunity to prove they belong on this roster in this Week 2 matchup.
With backup QB Jake Browning dealing with a rib injury and unlikely to play, Logan Woodside will probably see plenty of action against the Bears.
Will the Bears use their starters against the Bengals?
Fans of the Chicago Bears saw a preview of their new franchise quarterback, Caleb Williams, last weekend when the team defeated the Buffalo Bills 33-6.
The team's coach, Matt Eberflus, has declared that the starters will suit up against the Bengals on Saturday for another preseason game.
Following the joint practice with the Bengals on Thursday, Eberflus said, "You will see the starters." This implies that Caleb Williams, the first overall pick in April's draft, will make his home debut on Saturday.
