Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith are among the top receiving targets in the AFC East. TJ Hockensen is regaining his form after a devastating injury late last season.
All of them are looking at a well-esteemed reputation: become one of the premier tight ends of 2024. Most fantasy managers are not keen on having any of them on their rosters, but some do. So, who should they lean on?

There are bright spots in every floundering team in the NFL. With the New England Patriots, Hunter Henry is figuring to be one.
He's their leading receiver and is sitting at a helthy 125 fantasy points. Sportskeeda's TE30 had his third-best performance last time out, when he scored 14.5 off a 75-yard outing against the Indianapolis Colts.
He has an incoming problen against the Arizona Cardinals, though: they are good at shutting down tight ends, allowing only 10.25 points on average.
Is Jonnu Smith a good fantasy pick in Week 15?
The Miami Dolphins were the only team in 2023 to have no tight end touchdowns at all, with Durham Smythe operating mainly as a blocker. Jonnu Smith has since righted that wrong, though.
In week 11 against the Las Vegas Raiders, the TE6 exploded for 101 yards and two touchdowns - the first of four consecutive games with double-digit points. The Hoeston Texans are more than ready to end that streak, though, being one of only four teams to contain tight ends to single-digit showings - a fourth-best 9.47 points.
Is TJ Hockenson a good fantasy pick in Week 15?
When TJ Hockenson tore his ACL and MCL on a collision with Kerby Joseph late in 2023, it was seen as an unfortunate blow. He had finished with career-highs in catches and yards, and his absence was a major blow that factored into their eventual playoff miss.
In 2024, he has acquitted himself well since his return, putting himself at TE9. His best performance so far has been 18.4 points at the Chicago Bears in Week 12, covering 114 yards in just nine catches.
He's facing that same team this week. Their defense has been "mid" against tight ends - allowing an average of 12.74 points.
Whom should I start between Hunter Henry, Jonnu Smith, and TJ Hockenson?
Smith wins. But to go further, the Sportskeeda Start/Sit Tool's running of the matchup is fantastically lopsided. He's just so well ahead of his peers in most stats that one can wonder that had he begun 2024 explosively, the Miami Dolphins wouldn't have been struggling.
Should they miss the playoffs, he may be one of the few bright spots to emerge from a forgettable year.
