Aaron Rodgers is one of the NFL's best players and continues to excel at 41, showing no signs of retiring soon. Rodgers could pursue a career in Hollywood when he decides to step away from football. If he’s interested, he might even aim for the role of James Bond — after all, he once jokingly auditioned for the iconic role in 2015.
Following his NFL MVP win for the 2014-15 season, Rodgers received widespread acclaim, including praise from then-President Barack Obama. As he geared up for another strong season, the 4x NFL MVP sat down for an interview with TSN in December 2015.
During the candid conversation, he playfully attempted to audition for Daniel Craig’s James Bond and shared his vision for a Bond film: he’d face two villains, with J.J. Watt as his primary antagonist.
“The last two, probably. Yeah, there are often two villains in the same movie.”

When asked who should be the final boss of his movie, he responded, “JJ.” But Rodgers hesitated to have a hand-to-hand combat against Watt.
“No. I’m gonna have a weapon with me. Ok. I need to get a good fight coordinator, Carlos Norris, I think.”
Aaron Rodgers may be a good fit for the role, as he has many ingredients to make it his own. He is handsome, charming, and athletic. But if he ever lacked anything, it was probably acting and dialogue delivery. Hence, Rodgers gave it a try, too.
Aaron Rodgers delivers three of James Bond's most iconic lines
The first dialogue was from the movie "Goldfinger" (1964), as he said,
“Believe me, my interest in her is purely professional.”
The late Sean Connery originally delivered this line during a conversation with M in his scene with Miss Moneypenny.
Rodgers then proceeded to the following dialogue and said,
“I was wrong about you. I thought Christmas only comes once a year.”
This line was from Pierce Brosnan’s James Bond in the 1999 movie "The World is Not Enough." Bond speaks the line to Dr. Christmas Jones.
After this, Rodgers tried his final line from Daniel Craig’s Casino Royale (2006).
“Just a drink. A martini. Shaken, not stirred.”
However, at the end of the screen test video, Aaron Rodgers shocked his fans by revealing that he is an even bigger fan of the Star Wars franchise. He dressed up as Darth Vader and disappeared after declaring that the interview was over.
