Aaron Rodgers has not had the year he or the Green Bay Packers envisioned. They've limped to a 3-5 record and the quarterback has not played like a back-to-back MVP. The offense has struggled without Davante Adams and that continued on Sunday, despite a salacious matchup with the porous Detroit Lions' defense.
Rodgers threw two red-zone interceptions in the first half and followed it up with a third interception early in the third quarter. It was a frustratingly bad first for the Packers' star, and NFL fans did not miss the opportunity to troll him for it.

Rodgers has thus far been unable to take advantage of what was supposed to be a good matchup for the Packers. Despite the quarterback's struggles, the Packers only trailed by two midway through the third quarter. He was able to break through and toss a touchdown pass to Allen Lazard.
What's wrong with Aaron Rodgers?
Aaron Rodgers has not played well this year at all. The lack of an elite pass catcher has caused a lot more trouble this season than the Packers front office would have suspected.
Rodgers has always been able to mask the roster's deficiencies, but that's often been the case with someone like Adams or Jordy Nelson. That's simply not happened this season.
Still, the play has been abnormally poor, even with the lack of a true pass catcher. There's also the simple fact that Aaron Rodgers is older. He's 38 years old now and at some point, age catches up with everyone.
While it doesn't look like his physical ability has fallen off a cliff, the combination of age and lack of help on offense has combined for a very poor product.
There's still time to turn it around, even after the defeat to the Lions, but time is running out very quickly. If things persist, the quarterback may not want to continue playing in Green Bay or in the NFL in general. He's considered retirement before, and may do so again following this season.
