IN PHOTOS: Patriots QB Bailey Zappe gets engaged to long-time girlfriend Hannah Lewis

New England Patriots quarterback Bailey Zappe has had a superb 12 months. After being drafted in the 2022 NFL Draft in the fourth round, not much was expected of Zappe.

He has gotten engaged to his long-time girlfriend Hannah Lewis which is perhaps the best thing that has happened to him. They shared their engagement news on Instagram.

It sure does look like an incredible moment for the pair as they now embark on the next chapter of their lives together. The couple is something out of a movie as they have been high school sweethearts and have been together for six years.

Lewis is from Texas and she has a degree in Business Administration and Management and she currently works as a medical assistant for Lewis Pain and Physical Medicine.

Now, the next step is to plan the wedding and we imagine that Hannah already has plans on what she would like.

With Mac Jones as the team's bonafide starter, no one really expected Zappe to see any game time last season. But due to Jones' inability to play consistent, good football, coupled with a few injuries, Zappe was given the chance to impress.

For the most part, he did as he won both games he started in, threw for 781 yards, five touchdowns, and three interceptions. He also had a 70.7 completion percentage too for good measure as some thought that he could usurp Jones as Bill Belichick's starting quarterback.

With reports stating that the Patriots were shopping Jones around this offseason, it is clear that the franchise doesn't believe he is the answer long-term. That could open the door for Bailey Zappe to get another crack at the starting job.

It has been a whirlwind 12 months for Bailey Zappe, and if things go his way, it could be about to get even better.
