Indianapolis Colts injury report
The Indianapolis Colts did not designate any player as questionable on their final injury report on Friday.
However, the team ruled out both defensive end Genard Avery (foot) and linebacker Jaylon Carlies (fibula/shoulder) for the game after they missed every day of practice during the week.
Meanwhile, wide receiver duo Josh Downs and Michael Pittman Jr. and RB Jonathan Taylor will be available on Sunday afternoon.
Jonathan Taylor injury update
Jonathan Taylor has not played for the Indianapolis Colts since sustaining a high ankle sprain against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4.
Thankfully, Taylor was able to log a limited practice participation on Wednesday before practicing fully on Thursday and Friday.
Taylor will play in Week 8 against the Houston Texans after being taken off the Colts injury list on Friday.
Michael Pittman Jr. injury update
Even though wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. hasn't missed a game since suffering a back injury in Week 6, the Indianapolis Colts have been controlling the number of reps he takes in practice.
Pittman is still expected to play against the Texans on Sunday because he has no injury designation going into the game, despite only being available for one full practice this week, on Thursday.
Josh Downs injury update
Like Michael Pittman Jr., the Indianapolis Colts have also been managing Josh Downs' practice volume since he injured his toe in Week 5.
The wide receiver has not practiced on Wednesdays for the past two weeks, and he followed suit this past Wednesday as well.
Josh Downs, however, participated fully in practice on Thursday and Friday. He is expected to play against Houston in Week 8 and does not currently have any injury designations.
