Running back Aaron Jones has been battling a quad injury since leaving the Minnesota Vikings' game against the Green Bay Packers in the second half two weeks ago. A week after suffering the injury, he played in the regular-season finale against the Detroit Lions, accumulating 75 scrimmage yards from 10 rushes and five catches.
After appearing on the team's injury report last week, fans of the Vikings are curious to know if Jones will be available when they kick off their postseason run at State Farm Stadium against the LA Rams on Monday night.
Exploring Aaron Jones' availability status for wild-card game
Aaron Jones started the practice week as a limited participant but worked his way back to full practice participation on Saturday. He is now not carrying any injury designation into Monday night's clash with the LA Rams, which means he will be able to suit up for the all-important postseason game.

Jones, who had previously missed a lot of time due to injury, played in all 17 of the Vikings' regular-season games in 2024. This is only the third time he has been available for a complete schedule of regular-season matchups in his eight-year career.
In Week 5 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England, the 30-year-old running back sustained a hip injury against the New York Jets, but the injury occurred right before Minnesota's bye week. The former Green Bay Packers running back was able to recuperate and return to action in Week 7 thanks to the additional week off.
The Vikings’ injury report also included two more running backs, Ty Chandler (illness) and Cam Akers (illness). Chandler eventually did not receive an injury designation on the final injury report, but Akers is carrying a questionable tag into the playoff game.
Has Aaron Jones played well this season?
Aaron Jones hasn't shown any indications of slowing down, despite turning 30 in December. He has amassed a career-high 1,138 rushing yards for the Minnesota Vikings.
In 17 regular-season games, he accumulated 1,546 total offensive yards and seven total touchdowns from 255 rushes and 51 receptions.
Jones had 19 rushes for 58 rushing yards against the LA Rams in the regular season. He also made two catches for an additional 32 yards in the air. He should get plenty of work tonight and will be hoping for an even better showing against the same opponent.
