Is Aaron Rodgers playing today? Jets QB's status revealed for Week 15 clash vs. Jaguars - Source: Imagn

The Aaron Rodgers comeback tour has not been the sweetest. The New York Jets were officially eliminated from the 2024 NFL playoff contention last week, with a 32-26 loss to the Miami Dolphins.

Entering the season with Super Bowl hopes, the Jets have been completely disfunctional, with multiple firings, and currently sit with a poor 3-10 record. The 41-year-old Rodgers' performances themselves have been subpar.

The four-time league MVP has made his stance clear about wanting to play as long as he's healthy. So, let's look at Rodgers' playing status for Week 15.

Is Aaron Rodgers playing today vs. Jaguars?

Yes, Rodgers will be lacing up today for the Week 15 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Florida. The Jets quarterback was not listed on the injury report this week.

Rodgers has been dealing with niggles throughout the season. The 10x Pro Bowler has played through hamstring, knee and ankle injuries and was also featured in a few injury reports earlier this year.

The New York Jets do have a few key players listed on the injury report for this week. The list of players out for the Jaguars game include running back Kene Nwangwu, offensive lineman Xavier Newman-Johnson and cornerbacks Brandin Echols and D.J. Reed.

Players who are questionable for Week 15 clash include running back Breece Hall, offensive lineman Morgan Moses, guard Alijah Vera-Tucker and tight end Tyler Conklin.

Aaron Rodgers 2024 stats: How has the Jets QB fared this season?

Disappointing would be the word to describe Aaron Rodgers' 2024 season. The veteran quarterback is coming off an Achilles injury, which cut short his 2023 NFL season after just four snaps.

Rodgers has not looked 100 percent himself this year. The Jets QB has struggled in the pocket and has shown signs of declining mobility.

In 13 games played this season, Rodgers has thrown for 2,966 yards, 20 touchdowns and 8 interceptions, with a passer rating of 88.9, the lowest of his career (minimum 10 games played in a season).

The idea of benching the veteran quarterback has been discussed by the owner Woody Johnson himself, after Rodgers' and the Jets' poor Week 5 show against the Denver Broncos.

Rodgers last looked like his prime self against the New England Patriots in Week 3. Since then, the graph has been trending downward. Per reports and analysts, the Jets are expected to move off the veteran quarterback next year, although Rodgers has expressed his desire to stay with Gang Green.
