The New York Jets head to Orchard Park with veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers pushing through another physical challenge. The 41-year-old signal caller faces questions about his health as the Jets prepare for their Week 17 matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

Rodgers will start against the Bills despite dealing with an MCL issue. Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich first disclosed the injury on Monday.

"If I'm a betting man, I'm betting on Aaron to play," Ulbrich said.

The coach's confidence proved well-placed, as Rodgers participated fully in this week's practices.

The quarterback dismissed concerns about the knee problem.

"I'm going to play and it feels good," Rodgers said on Thursday. "I've had a lot worse."

The weather conditions at Orchard Park could test Rodgers' mobility. His determination mirrors the resilience he showed after returning from an Achilles tear in the 2023 season opener.

Aaron Rodgers stands just one touchdown pass away from reaching 500 for his career. His favorite target, Davante Adams, hopes to catch the milestone throw after their midseason reunion via trade.

"Obviously, I'd love to," Adams said on Friday. "I got 200, I got 400, so it would be dope to get 500 as well."

Their partnership has elevated Adams' performance — his receiving yards surged to 79.9 per game with the Jets from 69.7 with Las Vegas.

"We've had some special connections in the past, so it'd be great," Adams said. "Not that he needs more accolades and milestones, but you might as well keep racking them up while you can."

The streak is alive as Rodgers has thrown a TD in 11 consecutive games. The Bills' secondary, surrendering 229.5 passing yards per game, presents an opening for the milestone moment.

Support for Rodgers extends beyond this season. Pro Bowl defensive end Jermaine Johnson, sidelined with an Achilles tear since Week 2, publicly endorsed Rodgers' return for 2025 on social media.

Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff could write another chapter in Rodgers' decorated career. The Jets' 4-11 record, is the combination of chasing history and fighting through injury. All this showcases why the future Hall of Famer remains one of football's most compelling figures.
