The NFL preseason has resumed with a full schedule of games taking place this week as teams from all around the league get ready for the start of the regular season.
The New York Jets travel to Charlotte for their only preseason away game against the Carolina Panthers this weekend, marking their second preseason game so far. Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday at 7:00 p.m. ET.
The Jets defeated the Washington Commanders 20–17 at MetLife Stadium on Aug. 10 to claim their first 2024 preseason victory.

None of the Jets' starters, except center Joe Tippmann, were active in Week 1 of the preseason against the Commanders last Saturday. They will likely stick to the same game approach when they face the Carolina Panthers on Saturday night at Bank of America Stadium.
New York Jets coach Robert Saleh has already announced that star quarterback Aaron Rodgers will not participate in the team's first two preseason games, so the veteran looks set to miss the game against Carolina.
However, neither Rodgers nor Saleh have said whether the former Green Bay Packers QB will play in their preseason finale on Aug. 24 against the New York Giants. However, even that seems unlikely as per NFL Insider Adam Schefter:
After his 2023 season was cut short by injury, the four-time MVP winner has been seen putting in the yards and looking seemingly healthy during practice, so the Jets may attempt to keep him fresh and fit for the season by sitting him out of preseason.
Rodgers said he isn't concerned about playing in any games before the season opener against the San Francisco 49ers at his press conference on Tuesday, which preceded the Jets' first preseason game. Preseason, in his words, is "not real football," and he believes that players who are still in the early stages of their careers might benefit more from it.
Notably, Bryce Young did not participate in the Panthers' preseason game against the New England Patriots last week either, and it remains unknown if he will play tonight.
