Anthony Richardson concerned Indianapolis Colts fans after exiting Week 4 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers with what was initially ruled a hip injury. The second-year quarterback suffered a severe injury after four weeks in 2023, ending his rookie campaign.
Those fears resurged after he left the Steelers game in the first half and was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. The Colts are facing divisional rivals Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday, trying to snap a losing streak against them and hoping that Richardson leads them to the victory.
Anthony Richardson injury update
The Colts presented a lengthy injury report to start the week, with seven players listed as DNP. The only one who participated was Anthony Richardson, who is dealing with an oblique issue. He started the week as day-to-day, but his status could be more positive as game day gets closer.

On Wednesday, coach Shane Steichen left the door open to see Richardson taking the field on Sunday.
“If he feels good and he’s ready to go, he’ll be out there,” Steichen said.
Reporter Stephen Holder reported that Richardson would likely be listed as limited again today when the injury report is released.
Richardson completed three of four passing attempts for 71 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers while carrying the ball three times for 24 yards. He was hit by defensive backs Minkah Fitzpatrick and DeShon Elliott before leaving the game. He returned a couple of plays later, but after realizing he couldn't perform at his fullest, the team removed him from the rest of the game.
He has completed 39 of 77 passes for 654 yards, three touchdowns and six interceptions this season.
As of now, Richardson has been downgraded to doubtful for Sunday's game.
Anthony Richardson claps back at 'injury prone' comments
After picking up another injury, some fans labeled Anthony Richardson as 'injury prone,' which didn't sit well with him. The quarterback clapped back at those people on Wednesday.
"It's football," Richardson said. "I'm pretty sure if they got out of the house and came out here and got hit by somebody that was running 20-plus miles per hour every week, you know, I'm pretty sure they would be sore and dealing with injuries as well.
"You know, people are gonna talk. That's what people do. So, I'm not necessarily worried about it. Just trying to focus on getting better day by day."
The Colts haven't won in Jacksonville since 2014 and Richardson's potential comeback could be the boost they need to snap the losing streak.
