Brian Robinson Jr. is nearing the end of his third season with the Washington Commanders, and it's been his best season since entering the league in 2022. Today's wild-card round game will be the former third-round pick's first taste of postseason football.

The Commanders will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have made it to the postseason for the fifth consecutive season, in the first round of the 2024 NFL playoffs at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday.

Let's find out below if Robinson will be available for selection ahead of the contest.

Exploring Brian Robinson's availability status for the Wild Card game

Brian Robinson will be available for the Washington Commanders on Sunday night when they visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for their first playoff game since 2021.

Robinson didn't appear on Washington's injury report during the week, suggesting that he's not dealing with any injury concerns. Barring any late pregame injury, Robinson will suit up against the Bucs.

The Commanders will hope that Brian Robinson Jr. is playing at his best against Tampa Bay on Sunday night because they just run more effectively when he is on the field, both as a unit and in their rushing offense.

Tight end Colson Yankoff (hamstring) is the only player the Commanders ruled out on their final injury report on Friday, and he isn't even on the active roster. He returned to practice this week after spending the last two months on injured reserve. Although he was ruled out on Friday, he has been designated to return off IR. Wide receiver Jamison Crowder is the only player listed as questionable.

Has Brian Robinson Jr. played well this season?

With an average of 57.1 yards per game this season, Brian Robinson has amassed 799 yards from 187 rushing attempts. He has scored eight touchdowns on the ground. Robinson has also amassed 20 catches for 159 yards in the passing game, averaging 11.4 yards per game.

Although Robinson and the other running backs for the Commanders had a great start to the season, they have encountered a few challenges in the last few weeks. Jayden Daniels has been the team's top rusher since the bye week, and the team may try to change that in the playoffs.

Brian Robinson Jr. has only averaged 39.8 rushing yards per game over the last four games. He failed to score a touchdown in that time, too. He did, however, score eight touchdowns in ten games before this run.
