Bryce Young will hear his name called in the upcoming 2023 NFL draft and will become a franchise quarterback.
The Alabama Crimson Tide star has been compared to many current NFL signal-callers, but more so Kyler Murray of the Arizona Cardinals. Both are under six feet tall yet the gap is closer than what anyone expected.
At this year's combine, Young was measured at five-foot-10, 1/8", 207 pounds. Currently, Murray is the same height but just three pounds less than the Crimson Tide quarterback and went number one overall in 2019. The similarities between the two don't stop with their measurements.

Murray won the Heisman Trophy in his junior season in 2018 after finishing third in college football with 4,361 yards and 42 touchdowns. The then-Oklahoma Sooner quarterback was the AP Player of the Year that season as well.
Bryce Young took home the Heisman three years later in 2021 after throwing for 4,872 yards and 47 touchdowns in his sophomore season. In his junior season, Young was in the top ten in college football with 32 touchdowns.
Will Bryce Young be the top pick in the 2023 NFL draft?
According to many draft experts, the Alabama quarterback will be the first quarterback taken in April's draft. There's a chance that a team might move up to the number one pick to select him. Last month, Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay spoke highly of Young:
"No one can shy away from what quarterback means in this league and how we have to look going forward, where Shane and [Colts general manager] Chris [Ballard] really dig into this draft and see where we're at.
"Do we stay put? Do we trade up? There's really many things we can do. … The Alabama guy doesn't look bad, I'll tell ya."
The Colts have the fourth overall pick and would have to move up to get Young should they want to. With the Texans sitting with the second pick and in need of a quarterback, they could go after the Crimson Tide quarterback.
One thing is for sure: Bryce Young's height won't stop him from being a top pick in this year's draft.
