The Chicago Bears currently hold the longest playoff winless streak in the NFC North. However, fans of the team have a lot to be optimistic about this season, with quarterback Caleb Williams on top of that list.

Williams, the first overall selection in the 2024 NFL draft, has already won over many ardent Bears supporters with his impressive preseason showings. The young quarterback will get his first true test on Sunday as he gets ready for his first season in Chicago.

Coach Matt Eberflus said during the week, "I'm excited to see him," regarding Williams. "And I'm excited to lean in and lean on his teammates. Because that's what you have to do with a quarterback. He's got guys around him that have played a lot of years."

Williams is seen by many in the NFL as a generational talent who may start for the Bears for many years to come at quarterback, a position that has long been a source of frustration for fans of the team.

Williams will be looking to win his first game as the Bears' QB1 today. However, the official designation of defensive end Montez Sweat and wide receiver Keenan Allen as questionable to play raises some serious worries for the squad. Eberflus seemed optimistic about their situation going into the first game, though.

The Titans vs. Bears game is set to begin at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. FOX will broadcast the game, and FuboTV, SlingTV, Hulu + Live TV and NFL+ will also offer streaming options.

Caleb Williams' projected fantasy points for Week 1

The Chicago Bears have a quarterback in Caleb Williams who can pass the ball quickly and accurately all over the field. That ability should be on full display today against the Tennessee Titans, a team that finished last season with the 28th-lowest pressure rate in the league.

Williams is expected to start producing right away in Week 1, especially considering that he's surrounded by one of the NFL's top receiving options. Aside from the elite group of offensive weapons at his disposal, the Bears’ offensive line should also rank among the best in the league this season.

All things considered, Williams can begin demonstrating his ability to explode in fantasy football this season starting from Week 1.

Sportskeeda's free "Who Should I Start" tool projects Williams to return 15.1 points against the Titans to start the season.
