The offseason might not have gone the way many Cowboys fans and star players like CeeDee Lamb wanted, but heading into their Week 2 game against the Saints, Dallas is in a better position than many would like to admit. They crushed the Cleveland Browns, and their feared defense, in Week 1 and slowed their opposition's offensive production to a trickle, so much so that there are now questions surrounding Deshaun Watson's fitness to continue as the starter.

Right before the regular season began, the Cowboys got CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott's contracts done too, putting them in a position to be competing at the top end of the table again this year. But to do so, they will need these star players to remain healthy and we look if Dallas' star receiver will be available in Week 2.

Is CeeDee Lamb playing today?

Luckily for Cowboys fans, CeeDee Lamb is slated to start the game against the Saints today. He was not listed on the injury report, so there are no concerns surrounding him. In the wide receiver position, only Brandin Cooks was limited in practice on Wednesday before taking part in the full session on Thursday. Therefore, Dak Prescott should have the full complement of wide receivers to support him against New Orleans.

And Dallas will need all the help they can get from their wideouts as the tight end position is compromised. John Stephens Jr. is definitely out for the game with a hamstring injury and did not practice the whole week. Starter Jake Ferguson, too, is doubtful with a knee injury and did not take to the practice field coming into this game.

Cowboys vs. Saints: How to watch Week 2 game

The Cowboys and the Saints are both 1-0 coming into this game. But it is tough to read too much into their Week 1 results as both the Cleveland Browns and the Carolina Panthers were extremely poor.

Excluding the unlikely possibility of a tie after overtime, one team will fall to 0.500 while the other remains unbeaten. Dallas has not lost at home for their last 16 regular season games and will be the favorites despite some of the injuries we have highlighted above as they will have star players like CeeDee Lamb fully fit and raring to go.
