The Dallas Cowboys will face the Washington Commanders at AT&T Stadium in Week 18 to wrap up their dismal 2024 NFL season. The Cowboys lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 41-7 last time out, with wide receiver CeeDee Lamb out. Now, fans are wondering if he will return for Sunday's regular season finale.

Exploring CeeDee Lamb's availability status for Week 18

CeeDee Lamb will miss the season's last game against the Washington Commanders. The star wide receiver has been dealing with an AC joint sprain in his shoulder since the Week 9 game against the Atlanta Falcons, but he persisted in playing through the injury.

Lamb's shoulder issue was aggravated in Week 16 when the Cowboys faced off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Following that game, Dallas issued a statement announcing that the 25-year-old wide receiver would not play in the final two games of the season after undergoing shoulder scans and testing.

Lamb will go through a course of rehabilitation and treatment on his shoulder, but surgery is not currently expected, the team said.

Defensive back Kemon Hall will also not play on Sunday. He's dealing with a hamstring injury and didn't practice during the week before the team ruled him out on the final injury report on Friday.

Linebacker Nick Vigil (foot), defensive tackle Mazi Smith (pelvis), safety Donovan Wilson (knee) and guard Chuma Edoga (toe) were also ruled questionable on the Cowboys' final injury report.

How has CeeDee Lamb performed this season?

CeeDee Lamb, who became the second-best paid wide receiver in the NFL after signing a four-year, $136 million extension in August, has been one of the league's most productive wideouts this season despite having to play through a shoulder ailment at one point.

Before being shut down for the season, the star receiver recorded 101 receptions (tied for second in the league) from 152 targets (second in the league). He also amassed 1,194 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns.

Lamb joined Michael Thomas and Brandon Marshall as the only NFL players to record 100 catches in three of their first five seasons. Additionally, his 496 catches in his first five NFL seasons are only second to Thomas' 510 in league history.
