Chase Brown has emerged as one of the Cincinnati Bengals’ most reliable options in offense since assuming the starting running back position in the team's backfield.

The second-year running back has finished with at least 94 yards from scrimmage each game and at least 15 touches per game over his past four outings.

Brown will be one of the players Cincinnati will likely look to in offense when the team takes on the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium on Monday Night Football in Week 14. The Bengals' chances of making the playoffs are slim, but they aren't mathematically out yet. They will continue to believe that a miraculous playoff berth is still possible if they win tonight.

Exploring Chase Brown's availability status for Monday Night Football

Since Chase Brown was not listed on the Cincinnati Bengals' injury report over the week, it is safe to assume that he is healthy and ready to play on Monday night against the Dallas Cowboys.

Zack Moss started the 2024 season as the starting running back for Cincinnati, but he has been out since early November due to a neck injury. Brown was beginning to significantly eat into Moss' workload, but since Moss' injury, the former Illinois RB has completely assumed the role of full-time starter and hasn't missed a game.

While Brown is available for tonight's game, Orlando Brown Jr., the Bengals' starting left tackle, was ruled out on Saturday due to a fibula injury. In his place, Cody Ford is expected to start.

DT Sheldon Rankins will also be sidelined for Cincinnati for the third consecutive game because of illness. He has been absent since Week 11 due to an ailment that has not yet been disclosed.

How has Chase Brown performed this season?

Chase Brown, who was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, started his rookie season as the team's third running back, behind Joe Mixon and Samaje Perine. However, he recorded 44 rushing attempts for 179 yards in his first season in the league, demonstrating his explosiveness when given the chance.

Having taken charge of the Bengals' backfield in his second NFL season, Brown has emerged as a bright spot for the team this year.

In 12 games, the 24-year-old running back has amassed 677 rushing yards (4.5 yards per carry) and six touchdowns on 152 rushes. In addition, he has 237 yards and two touchdowns on 38 receptions.

Brown's performance has been encouraging in the Bengals' rushing offense, which has been quite erratic this season. He is on track to finish with more than 1,200 yards from scrimmage if he keeps up this rate of production.
