Chris Boswell's participation in tonight's duel against the Baltimore Ravens was a question mark for Pittsburgh Steelers coaches and fans. The veteran kicker is a crucial member of the squad and plenty of people were keeping tabs on his development ahead of the Wild Card game against their divisional rivals.

Steelers Nation won't have to worry any longer about Boswell's availability, as he's expected to take the field Saturday night. Like Cameron Heyward, Boswell dealt with an illness this week that kept him sidelined each practice session. Even so, neither he nor Heyward have an injury designation for this game.

Chris Boswell injury report: What happened to Steelers' veteran kicker?

Boswell watched the rest of the team practice from the sidelines after he started struggling with the flu right after Pittsburgh lost to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 18. He was added to the injury report on Wednesday and didn't practice on Thursday or Friday.

This would have been major for Pittsburgh, as their practice squad kicker Matthew Wright finished the season on the Tennessee Titans. During his first matchup against the Ravens, Chris Boswell willed the Steelers to the win with his kicks.

He went 6-from-6 on field goals, including a 57-yarder, to score all the points in his team's 18-16 victory over Lamar Jackson and Co.

The second duel was more discreet for Boswell, as he kicked a 51-yard field goal and two extra points to finish that game with five points.

Chris Boswell earned AP All-Pro honors

To keep proving the importance of having a healthy Chris Boswell for this matchup, he was named to the Associated Press (AP) All-Pro Team announced on Jan. 10. He was selected for the first-team All-Pro after marking a huge difference for the Black and Yellow, especially during tight contests.

That second game against the Ravens was a big example of how important this kicker is for his squad. Bowell made 41 of 44 field goal attempts this season, completing 93.2% of his attempts. The longest kick he completed was from 57 yards, which he made against the Atlanta Falcons in the season opener and then against the Ravens in Week 16.

He was flawless when it came to extra points, completing all 35 of his attempts. In total, he scored 158 points for the Steelers. Fans hope Boswell doesn't have to come through for the rest of the offense tonight, but it's clear that he'll be ready if the team needs him.
