Cooper Kupp won the 2022 NFL Super Bowl MVP award and placed third in the regular season MVP award voting. Kupp was a major reason (alongside the heroics of Matthew Stafford and stellar defense from Von Miller) the Los Angeles Rams became Super Bowl champions. It's absurd that all three of the names mentioned above are out for the season.

The injury bug has not been kind to the Rams, as their title defense has been nipped in the bud. Kupp is out for the 2022 NFL season with an ankle injury on which he has had surgery. As such, last season's triple-crown winner will not play tonight against the Denver Broncos.

Cooper Kupp was lapping most of the league's wide receivers before he was struck with an ankle injury. Prior to his injury, he was regularly among the top three point scorers. He achieved this by remaining the Rams' number one target and totaling a startling number of yards per game.

Kupp managed to rack up an average of 90.2 yards per game. Sadly, Los Angeles Rams fans will have to wait until next season to see him burn through defenders in his usual fashion.

The timeline for Kupp's ankle recovery does not favor a return in 2022. Plus, with the Rams' elimination from playoff contention, there's no need to rush Kupp back from a layoff.

Cooper Kupp had a great season until he was hit with that nasty ankle injury. The Rams' season realistically ended as soon as Kupp got hurt. Once Kupp went down. LA capitulated and began losing games en masse. That's what happens when a superstar positional player has no obvious replacement, and hopefully, his replacements will develop due to this season's experiences.

Kupp recorded 75 receptions, 812 receiving yards, and six touchdowns in nine games this season. Much like the Rams, Kupp will be back next year with something to prove.
