David Njoku and the Cleveland Browns don't have much to play for except for honor and pride. In one of the most disappointing seasons for Browns fans in recent years, they are already eliminated from playoff contention with four weeks to go.

Their game against the Kansas City Chiefs could've been one with a lot of playoff implications, but only one of the sides has something meaningful to play for. It looks like head coach Kevin Stefanski and general manager Andrew Berry will return in 2025, so preparations for free agency and draft are already underway.

If beating the Chiefs could be a positive note in a season in which there weren't many, they might have to do it without one of their superstars. Tight end David Njoku has been listed as questionable for the game, and head coach Kevin Stefanski said that he'll be a game-time decision.

Is David Njoku playing vs. the Chiefs on SNF in Week 15?

He'll be making pre-game tests to see how his hamstring feels before the game. It's unclear whether he'll be available for Jameis Winston and the Cleveland Browns in Week 15.

He was on the field for the Browns' loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14, registering seven catches on 12 targets, 42 receiving yards and a touchdown. He was useful for the offense, and they might have a hard time scoring against the Chiefs if he's not ready to go.

Update: David Njoku was announced to be a game-time decision and after the pregame tests, Browns officially marked the tight end inactive for Sunday's showdown against Kansas City Chiefs.

David Njoku Stats: How has the TE fared this season?

The tight end is having a solid year, but apart from being consistent, he has not registered a big game with over 100 receiving yards: his maximum yards in a single game came against the New Orleans Saints, when he caught all of his nine targets for 81 yards, but no touchdowns.

This season, after an early injury, he has 439 receiving yards and five touchdowns spanned over 10 games. The Browns won just two of those appearances, but they curiously came against the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers, the two teams that are battling for the AFC North in 2024.
