San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel looked like he was back to his best last week as he caught seven passes for 96 yards and a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins. He also gained 25 yards on the ground from five rushes in that 29–17 defeat.
Samuel and the Niners are getting ready for a Monday Night Football game at Levi's Stadium this week. They will take on the Detroit Lions, who currently top the NFC, in an attempt to finish the season strongly.
San Francisco, whose hopes of making the playoffs this season have already been shattered, will be hoping to win today in order to gain momentum going into the offseason.

Exploring Deebo Samuel availability status for MNF
Deebo Samuel will get the chance to build on his strong performance last time out when he faces the Detroit Lions' defense on Monday night. The star wide receiver did not appear on the San Francisco 49ers injury report, suggesting he's fully healthy and ready to roll at Levi's Stadium tonight.
Despite battling multiple injuries, the 28-year-old wide receiver has only missed one game this season. He first dealt with a calf ailment during Weeks 3 and 4, followed by a wrist injury and pneumonia symptoms that sent him to the hospital before Week 8. Remarkably, he still played in that game.
In addition, rib and oblique ailments limited Samuel in all three practice sessions prior to the Week 10 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, yet he managed to play in that game as well.
While Deebo Samuel will be available on Monday night, the 49ers ruled out five players on their final injury report — OL Spencer Burford (calf), OL Aaron Banks (knee), LB Dre Greenlaw (achilles), DL Robert Beal Jr. (ankle) and CB Charvarius Ward (personal). Three players have been designated questionable for the game — S Ji'Ayir Brown (ankle), OL Colton McKivitz (knee) and LB Tatum Bethune (knee).
Has Deebo Samuel performed well this season?
With just two games to go, the San Francisco 49ers' 2024 season has been filled with setbacks and disappointment. The circumstances are the same for Deebo Samuel as well.
To be fair, the team's season has undoubtedly been hampered by serious injuries to important players like Christian McCaffrey, Trent Williams, Brandon Aiyuk and Dre Greenlaw, but that should have given veterans like Samuel a chance to take the reins.
However, the star receiver has had trouble producing. He hasn't had the same influence as he did in the past, with the exception of a few games this season.
Samuel has recorded just 50 catches for 665 receiving yards and two touchdowns this season. In order to prove that he should remain a vital component of the team's offense in 2025, he needs to replicate his strong performance from last week against the Detroit Lions in Week 17.
