Samuel also kept away from the injury report this week and took part in full practice sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Hence, all signs point toward Samuel starting against the Rams.
How has 49ers WR Deebo Samuel performed this season?
Samuel has not lived up to his high standards this season. The wideout has recorded 553 yards and caught one touchdown on 40 receptions. He has also rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on 32 carries across 12 games.
On Tuesday, Samuel opened up on his lack of production, especially over the past four games, in which he failed to break the 35-yard scrimmage barrier in any matchup.
"Not struggling at all, just not getting the ball!" Samuel said. "You read what you read. [I'm] a little frustrated for sure."
The 49ers have a chance to reach the playoffs this season and will need to beat the Rams to remain in contention for a postseason berth. Samuel will hope to receive more of the ball from quarterback Brock Purdy in the closing stages of the regular season to help San Francisco qualify for the playoffs.
