The unsung star of the Washington Commanders' stunning postseason journey this season has been wide receiver Dyami Brown. The Commanders are now within striking distance of their first Super Bowl trip in more than thirty years due to his heroics against the Detroit Lions and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brown will once again be the center of attention as the Commanders prepare to face the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC championship game on Sunday. Washington has a strong possibility of shocking the football world again by earning a desired Super Bowl berth if the 25-year-old receiver can continue his excellent form from the last two games.

Exploring Dyami Brown's availability status for the NFC Championship game

Dyami Brown did not appear on the Washington Commanders injury report during the week, suggesting he's not dealing with any significant injury that will keep him out of the NFC championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The only player the Commanders ruled out on their final injury report is guard Sam Cosmi, who suffered an ACL tear against the Detroit Lions. Due to the injury, he will not be playing again this season, which is a major setback for an offensive line that has considerably exceeded expectations this year.

Washington is also worried about a pair of its defensive starters. Both defensive end Javontae Jean-Baptiste (shoulder) and defensive tackle Daron Payne (knee/finger) are questionable to play on Sunday.

How has Dyami Brown performed this season?

Dyami Brown has been impressive for the Washington Commanders in the postseason. He caught five passes for 89 yards and a score against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round. Brown then followed it up by catching six passes for 98 yards against the Detroit Lions in the divisional round, making him the Commanders' top receiver in the playoffs.

During this time in the postseason, he has averaged 6.5 targets per game and has amassed 93.5 yards per game with one touchdown.

The Commanders clearly needed a wide receiver to step up beside Terry McLaurin going into the playoffs, and Brown has done just that. By making significant contributions himself and creating space for McLaurin on the other side, his emergence has elevated the team's passing offense even more.

Brown was having yet another lackluster season before the playoffs began. He only averaged 19.3 yards per game with one touchdown during the regular season. In 16 regular season games, he caught 30 passes for 308 yards and one touchdown.

The Commanders are going to need Brown to maintain his recent momentum in Sunday's NFC championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
