George Kittle is in his eighth season with the San Francisco 49ers. The tight end remains one of the more important players for the 49ers, and now, fans want to know whether Kittle will play in Week 1 of the 2024 season against the New York Jets on Monday.

Furthermore, Kittle trained with the 49ers during the week in the build-up to the Week 1 game against New York. Hence, the superstar tight end will suit up for the Monday Night Football game.
Kittle underwent core muscle surgery in the offseason. By his own admission, Kittle returned to the 49ers training camp nearly 30 pounds lighter.
"That process was weird for me, but looking back on it, I think it's going to be really beneficial for me," Kittle said to ESPN's Nick Wagoner. "It's going to save some wear and tear on my body."
Kittle has racked up 6,274 yards on 460 receptions and caught 37 touchdowns in his career with the 49ers thus far. He has also earned five Pro Bowl honors and two First-team All-Pro selections.
Last season, Kittle recorded 1,020 yards on 65 receptions and caught six touchdowns across 16 regular-season games. He became one of quarterback Brock Purdy's favorite targets as the 49ers finished as the top seed in the NFC.
In the postseason, Kittle posted 112 yards on eight receptions with one touchdown. Although San Francisco reached the Super Bowl, Kyle Shanahan's team lost to the Kansas City Chiefs at the final hurdle.
Now, it will be interesting to see how Kittle fares in the 2024 season.
