Pacheco suffered his injury in the fourth quarter of the Chiefs' 26-25 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2. He exited the game at Arrowhead Stadium and did not return.

It was later announced that Pacheco had a fractured fibula and he needed to undergo surgery. The player has been placed on the Chiefs' injured reserve list.

Initial reports suggested that Pacheco could miss six to eight weeks of action. However, the Chiefs are yet to announce a timeline for his return.

As things stand, Pacheco is expected to miss at least four games since he was placed on IR after Week 2. He was out for the matchups against the Atlanta Falcons (Week 3) and LA Chargers (Week 4). He is now set to miss his third game in a row when the Chiefs host the Saints on Monday in Week 5.

The Chiefs drafted Pacheco in the seventh round in 2022, and he has helped them win two Super Bowls. In two games this season, Pacheco has recorded 135 yards on 34 carries with one touchdown. He also has 54 yards on seven receptions.
