Earlier this week on Monday, Pacheco posted a video of himself briskly walking on a treadmill as he continues his recovery. This is an indication that the Chiefs star could make his return soon, but it appears he won't play against Las Vegas this weekend.
Pacheco fractured his fibula in the fourth quarter of the Chiefs' 26-25 win over the Cincinnati Bengals at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 2. He exited and did not return.
Kansas City later announced that Pacheco needed to undergo surgery, which was successful. The Chiefs also placed the player on the injured reserve list, confirming that he would miss at least four games.
Reports have claimed that Pacheco could miss between six to eight weeks of action. Nonetheless, it seems that the star running back is closing in on a return soon.
The Chiefs drafted Pacheco in 2022 and he played an important role in helping the team win two Super Bowls ever since.
In just under two full games this season, Pacheco recorded 135 yards on 34 carries and rushed for one touchdown. He also added 54 yards on seven receptions.
