Is Jordan Love playing today? Latest on Packers QB for Week 2 NFL preseason game vs. Broncos

Jordan Love, the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, saw three snaps during the team's opening preseason game last Saturday vs. the Cleveland Browns. However, Packers fans might not get the chance to see their QB1 again for the rest of the preseason.

Love, who inked a four-year, $220 million contract this summer, probably won't play until Sept. 6, when the Packers play the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil in the regular-season opener.

After the team's 23-10 victory last week, head coach Matt LaFleur said that Love and most of the offensive starters would miss Sunday's preseason game against the Denver Broncos. This is because those guys would have received the requisite reps during Friday's joint practice with the Broncos.

"Because we have the competitive practice versus the Broncos, use that as their game reps and let the other guys play for the most part in that second preseason game," LaFleur explained. "Then we'll reevaluate it for the third one.”

Love participated in all three preseason games last year in order to get ready for his first season as a full-time starter. However, prior to that, LaFleur had never started Aaron Rodgers, the team's starter before Love, in the preseason.

Love agreed with LaFleur that he might not play another snap this preseason, but also said that he would like to see some action. Following the Browns game, Love said:

"I think we could go into it, just jump into the season. But it might be good to get a few more plays here in the preseason."
