Josh Allen's grit continues to shine through as the Buffalo Bills prepare for their crucial Week 17 matchup against the New York Jets. The star quarterback has been battling injuries to both hands this season.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport revealed that Allen has been playing with a broken left hand since Week 1. This injury was sustained during a touchdown play against the Arizona Cardinals. Allen addressed these reports during his media availability on Thursday.
"Yeah," Allen said. "Yeah, it's the left one, so it doesn't really matter all that much."

Based on his latest media session and practice participation, Allen will start against the Jets on Sunday. The Bills quarterback brushed off concerns about his playing status despite picking up another injury to his throwing hand in last Sunday's 24-21 victory over the New England Patriots.
"Good," Allen said. "Just a little sore from this last game. Probably took too many opportunities for them to lay their hands and pads on me. I just gotta be smarter."
How Josh Allen's MVP campaign keeps rolling through injuries
The Bills' franchise QB has powered through adversity all season while building a strong MVP resume. His stats tell just part of the story — 4,063 yards of total offense, 37 TDs and only six interceptions through 15 games.
All-Pro cornerback Taron Johnson, who faces Allen daily in practice, believes his teammate's exceptional play makes him the clear MVP choice.
"He's played at a high level before this, but this is just unbelievable," Johnson said on Thursday. "I think it's a no-brainer."
Allen demonstrated his clutch ability in Buffalo's signature win over Kansas City on Nov. 17. With under three minutes remaining, he scored a decisive 26-yard TD run on fourth down to secure the Chiefs' only loss of the year.
"It was crazy," Bills receiver Amari Cooper said on Thursday. "He used to take a lot of hits, but he used to obviously have these big runs, but he was sliding all game. So, I wasn't sure if he was going to go for it... He knew the situation like, 'Yo, we need to score. We have this great offense on the other side. I can't slide right here.'"
Kansas City has locked up home-field advantage throughout the playoffs with their 15-1 record. However, Josh Allen and the 12-3 Bills remain focused on their ultimate goal: bringing Buffalo its first Super Bowl championship.
