Jacobs was a limited participant in practice throughout the week. There was a slight concern about whether he would play against Detroit due to his calf injury. However, on Tuesday, Jacobs said he was excited at the prospect of facing the NFC North leaders.
"They've been rolling," Jacobs said. "They've been playing really good ball. We feel like we've been playing good ball, too. They’re the top of the division, and that's what we’re hunting, so it's gonna be fun.
"I love these type of games. I feel like they bring out the best in me. I feel like I'm a competitor, so whenever I get a chance to prove to myself or prove my team right, something that I always look forward to doing."
Jacobs also said he felt great, even though the Packers were slightly concerned about his workload. Nonetheless, all signs point toward Jacobs playing against the Lions on Thursday night.
