Justin Herbert's ankle injury was a major talking point all week especially after the Los Angeles Chargers fell to a 20-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. While Herbert initially suffered the injury in Week 2, he played through the Steelers game. Heading into Week 3, the franchise listed him as questionable for the game against the Kansas City Chiefs since he was a limited participant in practice all week.
However, Herbert is expected to take the field today against Kansas City as LA looks to rebound from the loss to Pittsburgh.
Is Justin Herbert playing today?
The issue for the Chargers will be to get Herbert through this Chiefs game unscathed. Herbert will then have a bye week to take care of his ankle before the Chargers get back to their schedule on the road against Denver.

Another area the Chargers will look to focus later today is getting Herbert to throw the ball a bit more. Through three weeks, Herbert has thrown for 399 yards and four touchdowns with one interception to his name. The Chargers' 2-1 start tells half the story but we're yet to see the star quarterback throw for over 200 yards in a game.
The Chargers have the opportunity to step up against a divisional rival but a laundry list of injuries makes that challenge a little more difficult. Left tackle Rashawn Slater has already been ruled out of Week 4 with a pectoral injury while rookie Joe Alt is currently questionable with a knee injury. Edge rusher Joey Bosa is also out of this game.
