Wide receiver Keenan Allen has battled a heel injury since the last days of training camp, but he was still able to play in the Chicago Bears' Week 1 victory over the Tennessee Titans. The veteran receiver led the club in targets in that game with 11. However, Allen hasn't taken part in a practice session since that Week 1 game, and there's still no word on when he'll be back.
Is Keenan Allen playing today?
Keenan Allen will not be available in Week 3. After missing another full week of practice, the former Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver has been officially ruled out on the Bears' final injury report for Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Allen will now miss two games in the first weeks of the season as a player for his new team after also sitting out the team's defeat to the Houston Texans last week.

In reference to Keenan Allen, Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus told reporters on Wednesday:
“It’s just working it day to day and seeing what it is day to day. Again, we obviously want him to come back as fast as possible, but it’s got to be right for him.”
There's a possibility that Allen might make a comeback for the Bears in Week 4 when they play the Los Angeles Rams.
In addition to Keenan Allen, the Bears' latest injury report lists defensive tackle Zacch Pickens (groin), running back Travis Homer (finger), and fullback Khari Blasingame (hand/knee) as out for Week. However, rookie WR Rome Odunze will be eligible to play despite.
