Is Kenneth Walker playing on Sunday? Latest on Seahawks RB's status for Week 3 game vs. Dolphins - Source: Getty

Kenneth Walker III started the season off well with a dominating performance in the Seattle Seahawks' 26-20 win against the Denver Broncos in Week 1. Unfortunately, due to an oblique injury, he did not play in Week 2.

Against the Broncos, Walker rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries, averaging 5.2 yards per carry. Walker has not fully recovered from his injury and is listed as doubtful for the team's Week 3 game against the Miami Dolphins.

Walker is unlikely to play on Sunday, but he is on track to feature in Week 4. The 23-year-old running back played 15 games last season, rushing for 905 yards and eight touchdowns on 219 carries, averaging 4.1 yards per carry. Although Walker's numbers went down from his rookie year, expectations for him this year are still quite high based on his strong performance in Week 1.

The Seahawks are off to a 2-0 start with wins against the Broncos and the New England Patriots. Even without Walker, the Seahawks have enough firepower to defeat any team in the NFL. With Tua Tagovailoa out, they are firm favorites to win against the Dolphins this week.

With Kenneth Walker set to miss another game, second-year running back Zach Charbonnet will continue to lead the line for the Seahawks. The team's running-back depth chart looks like this heading into Week 3:

  1. Kenneth Walker III - RB1
  2. Zach Charbonnet - RB2
  3. Kenny McIntosh - RB3

In the Seahawks' 23-20 win against the Patriots last week, Charbonnet rushed for 38 yards and one touchdown on 14 carries. He also had five receptions for 31 yards.

Charbonnet has averaged just 2.3 yards per carry this season, and he desperately needs to have a big game in Week 3. The Dolphins' defense has allowed 118.0 rushing yards per game this season, and the Seahawks will hope their running backs will step up and help out Geno Smith.

In his rookie season, Charbonnet rushed for 462 yards and one touchdown on 108 carries, averaging 4.3 yards per carry. He also had 33 receptions for 209 yards.

Update on Kenneth Walker's status for Week 3:

As per new reports, Walker is listed as doubtful and won't play in Week 3.
