Mark Andrews and the Baltimore Ravens will face off against bitter rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers, for the third time this campaign in the Wild Card round.

The Ravens won the divisional title thanks to their late-season surge (four-game winning streak), which also happened to coincide with Pittsburgh's late-season downturn. The Steelers now have the difficult challenge of traveling to Maryland to play Baltimore in the playoffs' opening round.

When the Baltimore Ravens kicked off their playoff run last season, tight end Mark Andrews was still healing from an ankle injury. It wasn't until the AFC Championship that he made his comeback, and he clearly wasn't fully healthy then. Let's now see if the standout pass-catcher will play in his team's postseason opener this year.

Exploring Mark Andrews' availability status for tonight's Wild Card game

Mark Andrews didn't appear on the Baltimore Ravens' injury report this week, suggesting he's not dealing with any injuries. Barring any late injury setbacks in pregame warm-ups, the 29-year-old tight end will suit up at M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday night.

Andrews had a major injury to his foot and ankle in Week 11 of the 2023 season, which kept him out until the Ravens' matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. Additionally, he was involved in a car accident five months ago. However, the former third-round pick hasn't missed any game this season.

While Andrews is expected to suit up against the Steelers, the Ravens have a pair of pass-catchers carrying injury designations into the game. WR Zay Flowers is dealing with a knee injury he suffered in Week 18 and has been ruled out for tonight. Additionally, receiver Deonte Harty is questionable due to a knee problem.

How has Mark Andrews performed this season?

Many started doubting Mark Andrews' ability to go back to his pre-injury form after he recorded only 10 catches and zero touchdowns in the opening five games of the season. He had just one target and zero receptions in the Week 3 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, marking the first time in 76 games during the regular season that he did not record at least one catch.

However, Andrews has been as impressive as ever since that early-season phase. His 11 receiving touchdowns during the regular season placed him first among tight ends and fourth overall in the league. Additionally, he has scored in six straight games and 10 of the last 12 games.

Andrews, who has 436 catches and three Pro Bowl selections in his career, has continued to show this season that he is still at the peak of his powers.
