Is Marshawn Lynch going to Hollywood? Beast Mode’s movie debut gets rave review

Former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch on the big screen in "Bottoms"

Marshawn Lynch has carved out a solid career in the NFL and is now looking to make his mark in Hollywood.

The former All-Pro running back was one of the league's best personalities and was made for the bright lights. Lynch was recently seen in the movie "Bottoms", which made its debut at SXSW with a glowing review.

Lynch showed up out of nowhere in the movie and, according to Ryan Scott of Slash Film, the Super Bowl-winning player stole the show:

"Marshawn Lynch has "it" and he is more than a great football player: he's downright magnetic on screen. The way the crowd in that jam-packed was absolutely hooting and hollering when Lynch showed up in "Bottoms" unexpectedly was my first signal that something was happening here.

"From there on out, he ran with the ball and earned his laughs the hard way, and boy did he earn plenty of them."

The film focuses on two unpopular high school girls who start a fight club, under the guise of a women's empowerment/self-defense class. This was done to try and get the attention of some cheerleaders.

Marshawn Lynch portrays a divorced teacher who helps those young ladies find themselves by starting the aforementioned fight club.

Scott also noted how seamless the former Seattle Seahawks star is in the film as the acting comes naturally to him. Lynch has been on the small screen in hit shows such as "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," "Murderville," and "Westworld."

Marshawn Lynch on acting: “Oh, that s--t would look fun to do"

The five-time Pro Bowler was interviewed by Pete Keeley of The Hollywood Reporter last February about getting into acting and what the experience was like.

"When I got into it, it was more so just to have fun. I’d really say it was like experiencing some s--t that I never experience before, which was acting on the screen, you know, and really just playing out childhood dreams. Like I think about when I was a youth, I’m like, “Oh, that s--t would look fun to do."

"Oh man, if I was in that, I would do something like this or something like that.” So now I’m in a position where If I just think it or speak it into existence, that s--t will kinda happen."

Without question, fans should expect more from Marshawn Lynch in a different field, dominating on-screen as he did in the NFL for over a decade.
