A few eyebrows were raised when the New York Jets convinced Mike Williams to come to town in free agency. With Aaron Rodgers under center and raring to go after missing all of last season with an Achilles injury, the Jets reloaded to contend for the Super Bowl.
Having Williams on board to make plays was seen as a smart choice. But his Week 1 return was not encouraging. Williams played just nine snaps when the Jets headlined Week 1's Monday Night Football schedule.
Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans presents an opportunity for Mike Williams. He was not on the Jets' injury report and is expected to play later today.

Is Mike Williams playing today?
Williams did not feature on the Jets injury report so the question instead becomes how much Williams will play today.
Offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett told reporters that it wasn't his plan to limit Williams to just nine snaps on Monday Night Football in a 32-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. In Williams' place, Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard played nearly every snap in the game.
Robert Saleh later told reporters that there weren't enough opportunities to have Williams involved but they were trying to get him 15 snaps in Week 1.
At this point, if you have Williams on your fantasy roster, it might be time to bench him until and unless we see proof that Hackett is willing to have him more involved in the offense.
