Running back Najee Harris, whose fifth-year option has been declined, may be getting ready to play his final game with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who drafted him in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. His contract expires at the end of this season.

Harris and the Steelers have not advanced past the opening round of the postseason since he entered the league in 2021. For the 26-year-old running back, this might be his last chance to help Pittsburgh record its first postseason win since 2016.

Due to their late-season surge, the Baltimore Ravens, who the Steelers will face in tonight's Wild Card game, claimed the AFC North title. The Steelers now have the daunting task of traveling to Maryland to play Baltimore to begin their postseason run after dropping their last four games in the regular season.

Exploring Najee Harris' availability status for Wild Card game

Najee Harris will suit up for the Pittsburgh Steelers at M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday night. The star running back was not listed on Pittsburgh's injury report during the week, so he's expected to be the RB1 against the Baltimore Ravens in the game.

After receiving a pass and attempting to go by defensive tackle Kris Jenkins Jr. of the Cincinnati Bengals in the fourth quarter of last week's game, Harris was taken down after taking a helmet-to-helmet tackle. He was subsequently taken inside the blue medical tent to undergo more testing for a potential head injury.

On the subsequent drive, though, Harris returned to the game, suggesting that he had passed a concussion test. Additionally, he was not listed as injured this week, so he is not in danger of missing tonight's game.

Harris has played in all 68 regular season games and two more playoff games with the Steelers in his four seasons in the league. In addition, he has at least 1,000 rushing yards in each of his first four seasons.

The Alabama alum recorded 263 rushing attempts for 1,043 rushing yards and six touchdowns during the regular season.

Najee Harris will play at Baltimore, but the Steelers' final injury report on Thursday ruled out wide receiver Roman Wilson (hamstring), defensive lineman Logan Lee (calf), and linebacker Cole Holcomb (knee).

Due to a broken hand, the team also declared guard Mason McCormick questionable for the showdown.
