Wide receiver Quentin Johnston has had a strong run during the Los Angeles Chargers' two-game losing streak. After a challenging rookie season, it's safe to say that he's mostly having a fairly good comeback season in his second NFL season.
The 23-year-old wide out will look to build on his recent impressive performance in the Chargers' Week 16 Thursday night game against the Denver Broncos.
Johnston and the Chargers will be looking to take yet another huge stride towards playoff contention tonight. A win over Denver would give them the head-to-head tiebreaker edge over their divisional rival, which could help their seeding in the first round of the playoffs.

Exploring Quentin Johnston's availability for Week 16 TNF
Quintin Johnston appeared as a nonparticipant on the Los Angeles Chargers' injury report on Monday with an ankle injury. Johnston's inclusion on the injury report to begin the week but was later revealed to have been a clerical error; the team had planned to include guard Zion Johnson instead.
The second-year receiver worked out fully on Tuesday and Wednesday. Now that he's off the Bolts' Week 16 injury list, he should be ready to play against the Denver Broncos on Thursday.
While Johnston is available, the Chargers still have some injury worries, given their final injury report that was made public on Wednesday. They have declared defensive back Elijah Molden (knee) doubtful and cornerback Cam Hart (concussion) and tight end Will Dissly (shoulder) out of the game against the Broncos.
Additionally, four players for the Bolts are marked as questionable for Thursday: tight end Hayden Hurst (hip), defensive lineman Otito Ogbonnia (pelvis), linebacker Denzel Perryman (groin) and guard Zion Johnson (ankle).
How has Quentin Johnston performed this season?
Quentin Johnston seems to have turned the page and begun to live up to some of the demands that accompany being selected in the first round.
Following a difficult first campaign where he struggled with drops, Johnston has scored a lot of touchdowns this season. He has seen the end zone on eight occasions this season, including five of his last seven outings. Additionally, he has been targeted 17 times in the last two games.
Johnston has caught 34 of his 63 targets for 459 yards and eight touchdowns in 12 games in 2024.
He now averages 13.5 yards per grab, and with eight touchdowns, he's tied with George Kittle for fifth place in the NFL, behind only Ja'Marr Chase, Terry Mclaurin, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Mike Evans.
