While Montez Sweat was born in Richmond, Kentucky, and attended high school in Stone Mountain, Georgia, T'Vondre Sweat was raised in Huntsville, Texas, where he played basketball and football as a child.

Montez was brought up by his grandparents, Charles and Deborah Sweat. His mother died when he was 15 years old, and nothing is known about his father. In 2021, the defensive end for the Chicago Bears also lost his older sibling Anthony Sweat, who was shot and killed at an apartment building in the Henrico, Virginia, neighborhood of Richmond.

On the other hand, T'Vondre is the younger brother of Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Josh Sweat. Though not much is known about the player's father, his mother’s name is Lasunda Ross.

T'Vondre Sweat was selected in the second round of the draft

Defensive tackle T'Vondre Sweat has finally made it to the professional ranks after five years with the Texas Longhorns, and it happened early on the second day of the 2024 NFL Draft. Sweat was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, with the 38th overall choice.

There were concerns that Sweat would drop down on the draft board following his arrest for DWI earlier in April following a car accident. The event occurred shortly before he was scheduled to meet a few teams. Sweat's draft stock was unaffected by the incident, as the Titans selected him with their second-round pick.
