Is Tee Higgins playing tonight? Bengals WR's status revealed for Week 14 showdown vs Cowboys

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins has been one of quarterback Joe Burrow's primary pass-catching weapons since he entered the NFL. The Clemson product has the ability of a WR1, but he's currently behind Ja'Marr Chase in the team's pecking order.

Let's examine Higgins' availability ahead of the Bengals' Monday Night Football game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Is Tee Higgins playing tonight?

Yes, Tee Higgins is playing in tonight's game against the Dallas Cowboys. The prolific wide receiver does not have an injury designation, so barring any unfortunate occurrences, he'll be starting for the Bengals in Week 14.

Higgins has dealt with many injuries this season, so it's only proper that he's checked before tonight's game. The Clemson Tigers standout will be poised to wreak havoc against a Dallas Cowboys team that has looked vulnerable for most of the 2024 season due to injury mishaps of its own.

While Higgins is set to feature, the Bengals will be without at least two starters for tonight's game. Offensive tackle Orlando Brown (fibula) and defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins (illness) will be absent from Monday Night Football. Meanwhile, wide receiver Charlie Jones (groin) is listed as questionable.

The rest of the players on the injury report, including Ja'Marr Chase, do not have designations for the game.

How has Tee Higgins performed this season?

Tee Higgins has been solid but mostly unspectacular in the ongoing NFL regular season. The former NCAA champion is playing on the franchise tag and has led the team in receiving in just three games so far.

Higgins has amassed a stat line of 43 catches, 558 receiving yards and five touchdowns in seven games. There have been rumors about the Bengals electing to let him work in free agency at the end of this regular season, and that's never a good sign. If the rumors are anything to go by, then Higgins has a paltry five games left as a member of the Cincinnati Bengals.

As a franchise, the Bengals are having a rather forgettable season in 2024. The AFC powerhouse is wasting an MVP-caliber season from superstar quarterback Joe Burrow, no thanks to their 4-8 record.

The Bengals have lost games to the New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, Washington Commanders, Baltimore Ravens (twice), Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Chargers and most recently, the Pittsburgh Steelers. A loss tonight would end their hopes of finishing the year with a winning record.
