Miami Dolphins starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa sustained the third concussion of his NFL career during a game against the Buffalo Bills on Sept. 12. He was placed on injured reserve after and missed out for five weeks.
The quarterback said that after his return, the team put him on injured reserve to give his brain time to recover. He claimed he understood Miami's logic but didn't like the choice.
Tagovailoa returned to the field in the Week 8 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. He also started for the Fins in their Week 9 loss to the Buffalo Bills. He has the chance to suit up for the third game since he recovered from the concussion when the Miami Dolphins visit the Los Angeles Rams for their Week 10 game on Monday Night Football.

Exploring Tua Tagovailoa's availability status for Week 10
The Miami Dolphins will have Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback again for the third game in a row against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium today. This will be the first time Tagovailoa will start three in a row this season.
Many wondered if Tagovailoa's injury history would force him to retire after his concussion in Week 2. The quarterback said before his first game back that he had not thought about retiring and hadn't experienced any symptoms since the day following the incident.
The Dolphins' offense has improved in the last two games with Tagovailoa playing, although they haven't won since he returned.
Tua Tagovailoa completed 28 of 38 passes for 234 yards and a score in his first game back. He followed that performance up last week with another good showing against the Bills, where he completed 25 of 28 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns.
It's now almost impossible for Tagovailoa to help the Dolphins earn a divisional title, but he can still attempt to help the team earn a wild card spot. For that to happen, he must find a method to help the team beat the Los Angeles Rams today.
How to watch Miami Dolphins vs. Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football?
As their main offensive players have grown more fit, the Los Angeles Rams have been playing well lately, winning three straight games. After a 1-4 start to the season, their impressive run of form has put them in a position to potentially make the playoffs.
The Dolphins, the Rams' Week 10 opponent, have also struggled with major injuries, making it hard for head coach Mike McDaniel to keep the team above water. The Dolphins must start winning right away if they want to keep the playoff hopes alive.
