After losing to the Green Bay Packers 30–17 on Thanksgiving Day, Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins will try to bounce back when they face the New York Jets on Sunday.

This game is significant, especially for the Dolphins, who are still in the running for the playoffs, despite the fact that they haven't lived up to expectations this season.

Hill appeared on the Fins' injury report this week, logging a limited practice participation on Thursday after being a nonparticipant on Wednesday due to a wrist injury.

The Dolphins will be eager to have their best receiver healthy against New York, as they need to win their remaining games to have a shot of earning a postseason berth.

Exploring Tyreek Hill's availability status for Week 14

On Friday, Tyreek Hill logged his first full practice participation for the Miami Dolphins this week.

He gradually increased his practice involvement this week, starting with no involvement at all on Wednesday and progressing to limited involvement on Thursday before finishing the week with full practice participation on Friday. That essentially ensured that he didn't carry any injury designation into the weekend.

If Hill doesn't have any pregame injury setbacks, he will start Sunday's game against the New York Jets.

Hill has had a challenging season, partly due to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's four-game absence due to a concussion. The 30-year-old wide receiver has also been limited in sessions for most of the season owing to a wrist issue, even though he's yet to miss a game because of it.

The Dolphins will want to make the most of their Week 14 matchup with the Jets by activating the passing offense early and giving Hill the opportunity to be as dominant as he can be.

How has Tyreek Hill performed this season?

Tyreek Hill's 2024 season has started off surprisingly poorly, as evidenced by his statistics, which fall far short of his past performance levels.

The former Kansas City Chiefs star has 55 catches for 654 yards and four scores in his 12 appearances this season. In contrast, he dominated the league in 2023 with 1,799 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns. This season, he has recorded his lowest receiving yardage average since 2016, with 54.5 yards per game.

However, the Dolphins' passing attack has been more productive recently since quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's return to the field. Tagovailoa and Hill have made some impressive plays together in recent games; in his last four games, the seasoned receiver has scored three touchdowns.

Hill, who hasn't recorded a 100-yard game since Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, will be itching to have a statement performance on Sunday when he takes on the New York Jets’ defense.

Tyreek Hill is more likely to have a solid showing today because New York Jets standout cornerback Sauce Gardner is doubtful to play due to a hamstring injury.
