The XFL has become the talk of the town after kicking off its third iteration on Saturday, February 18, in Arlington, Texas. The league made a comeback after a two-year gap due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The XFL has also partnered with the NFL in collaboration with particular programs to innovate the game and focus on the health and safety of football players. The deal was signed in February 2022.
Programs concentrating on the growth of players both on and off the field will benefit their physical and mental fitness. The two leagues will also work together in a bid to expand football on an international level via scouting and officiating.
The implementation of different technologies and rules will help in serving as an overall boost for the sport. However, the partnership will not cover any sharing of the players for developmental purposes.

Does Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson own the XFL?
The XFL declared bankruptcy in April 2020 after operations were forced to shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time, the league was owned by Vince McMahon, but the WWE chief was desperately seeking a buyer.
Three months later, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson led a group of investors (including his business partner Dany Garcia, along with RedBird Capital Partners) to purchase the league for a reported $15 million in August.
Johnson currently owns the XFL and is also the commissioner of the league.
The former wrestler aspired to play professional football and was a member of the University of Miami football team that won the NCAA championship in 1991. However, Johnson went undrafted in the 1995 NFL Draft.
He shifted his focus to wrestling in 1996 and went on to become one of the biggest names in WWE.
In 2020, Johnson revealed to ESPN that his decision to get involved in the XFL was because of his passion for football.
