In Thursday's game against the Chicago Bears, running back Zach Charbonnet will have another chance to assume the starting position for the Seattle Seahawks.
Charbonnet has started three of the last four games for Seattle, and in one of them, he recorded a career-high 134 rushing yards with two touchdowns on the ground.
The Seahawks, currently 8-7 and behind the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC West, know that they need to win on Thursday night to maintain their slim prospects of making the playoffs. They will also be counting on Charbonnet to effectively lead the backfield.

Exploring Zach Charbonnet's availability status for TNF
Due to an elbow injury, Zach Charbonnet was listed as a limited participant in the Seattle Seahawks' estimated practice report on Monday. But he was able to log two consecutive full practices on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The 23-year-old running back was not designated on the team's final injury report of the week. So, he is healthy enough to play on Thursday Night Football against the Chicago Bears.
Starting running back Kenneth Walker III will be sidelined on Thursday due to an ankle injury that prevented him from practicing at all this week. This means that Charbonnet is expected to receive a significant workload for Seattle tonight.
Walker has missed three of Seattle's last four games because of injury, and Charbonnet performed admirably in his place. In Weeks 14 and 15, the second-year running back averaged over six yards per carry and scored three touchdowns, against the Arizona Cardinals and Green Bay Packers.
Together with Walker, the Hawks have also ruled out tight end Brady Russell (foot) and safety K'Von Wallace (ankle) for the TNF game.
How has Zach Charbonnet performed this season?
Zach Charbonnet has been a good deputy for Kenneth Walker in the Seattle Seahawks' backfield. He has amassed 106 rushes for 453 yards and eight touchdowns this season.
The UCLA alum has also been valuable in the passing game on occasions, having hauled in 39 passes for 289 yards and one touchdown.
In the four games he has started this season, Charbonnet was able to seize control of the plays out of the backfield, running the ball 62 times for 317 yards and six scores. Additionally, he has 16 receptions for 118 yards on 20 targets in those games.
