Isiah Pacheco has been a silent contributor to the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl dynasty ever since he was drafted in the seventh round in 2022. While quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce have been commanding most of the attention with their explosive connections in the air, Pacheco has been accumulating yards and points on the ground, helped by one of the best offensive lines in the league.
Fantasy footballers have been mostly ignoring the running back in favor of big names like Christian McCaffrey and Derrick Henry, but is it time they change their minds?

Judging by where he currently stands in his career, Pacheco is someone who should arguably get more looks from fantasy players.
McCaffrey rightly sits atop most fantasy football charts given his elite production and career standing, but certain players somehow have better placement even though their teams have underperformed. Breece Hall is a good example, as his New York Jets have continued to miss the playoffs in the two or so seasons that he has played.
Isiah Pacheco 2024 fantasy outlook, ADP and 2023 stats
Pacheco's fantasy outlook currently sits at an average draft position of No. 24 overall and No. 10 among running backs, making him one of the best players to invest in besides the usual superstars.
Last season, Pacheco rushed 205 times for 935 yards and seven touchdowns. He also caught 44 passes for 244 yards and two scores, proving himself as Mahomes' new secondary offensive option.
In the playoffs, he rushed 81 times for 313 yards and two touchdowns. That allowed him to close the league year as the No. 26 consensus player, with an ADP of No. 39.
Is Isiah Pacheco a good fantasy football pick this year?
This season, the Chiefs are expected to get more passing focus with the return of JuJu Smith-Schuster, who was the team's leading receiver when Pacheco was a rookie. Combined with Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, who was recently discharged from hospital after injuring his shoulder during a preseason game, the two are expected to form a one-two punch at the corners, with Mecole Hardman at the slot and Kelce inline.
However, that does not mean Pacheco should be snubbed. Given the team's RB room, he may hover in the top 10 next season.
Where should you draft Isiah Pacheco this year?
Sitting on either end of Isiah Pacheco in Sportskeeda's fantasy RB rankings are the Jacksonville Jaguars' Travis Etienne Jr. and the Miami Dolphins' De'Von Achane.
The three are 18, 21 and 22 on the list, respectively, but the fantasy tool portrays a different story. At 283.9 points, Pacheco is far ahead of the pack, with his projected 1,390.9 rushing yards carrying the brunt of the lead. He is also second-best in other offensive categories, which should warrant a top 10 for him.
